Twenty-five years is a serious milestone. For Tech International, it represented a quarter century of growth, hard work and the kind of collective effort that doesn’t happen without a team genuinely invested in what they’re building together. That deserves more than a quick round of applause and a slice of supermarket sponge in the staffroom. It deserves a hog roast. Obviously.
Hog Roast Port Talbot was on site early on July 3rd – and we mean really early. With a 10am serving time, our alarm went off well before most people had even thought about breakfast, but that’s just part of the job and honestly, there are plenty worse ways to start a morning than firing up the HogMaster with a whole pig on the grill.
The hog was cooked low and slow, which is the only way to do it properly. Over the following hours, the meat inside worked its way towards that pull-apart tenderness that makes the whole time investment worthwhile, while the skin gradually tightened and bubbled into the kind of light, airy crackling that guests tend to congregate around before the carving has even started. It’s one of those sounds – that first crack under the knife – that gets a room’s attention every single time.
Sage and onion stuffing, applesauce, mixed salad and coleslaw filled out the spread alongside rolls and wraps for anyone who wanted to build their sandwich their own way. Some guests went all in on the traditional hog roast combo, while others mixed and matched a little of everything.
Of course, no Hog Roast Port Talbot event is complete without us making sure every guest is catered for. Our grilled vegetable kebabs were a hit with vegetarian and vegan attendees, with sweet chilli seasoning adding plenty of flavour. For those avoiding dairy, the skewers were served without halloumi and tzatziki, keeping things simple but still satisfying.
From all of us at Hog Roast Port Talbot, congratulations to Tech International on 25 years of success. If this event is anything to go by, the next milestone is going to be just as worth celebrating – and we’d be delighted to be part of it.
Until then, if your business has something worth celebrating coming up, get in touch with Hog Roast Port Talbot. Twenty-five years – or any anniversary worth marking – deserves a proper feast.
