The day was a resounding success.
James phoned me the day before, to tell me what time they would be arriving. He came to my office to introduce himself when they did arrive.
All the guys on site absolutely LOVED the food, what a spread with all the sauces, chips and salads. I couldn’t finish what I had and didn’t eat at all in the evening!
We were lucky to have great weather too and lots of us sat outside eating and chatting. It was great for me as I organized it all, and I was a bit worried that if it wasn’t good, they would all be ‘hammering on my door’!! No fear of that, I was thanked by everyone for doing such a great job.
James and his colleague were great servers and organisers too. Very pleasant, helpful and polite.
James came to let me know again when they were leaving and they packed up the leftovers and put them in our canteen kitchen.
They were extremely clean and tidy, nothing was left anywhere, you wouldn’t even know they had been here!
The Spitting pig is a great company and I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone at all. If at anytime in the future someone mentions hog roast, I would mention you straight away.

Above all we were very impressed with Rob whose communication was excellent ahead of the event and during. He coped very well on his own after his crew member had to pull out at the last minute. Thank you so much, it was absolutely brilliant! Our guests were thrilled with the pig (as was the dog!) and everyone said the food was amazing including the non-meat eaters! There was nothing left after people took portions of it home with them...and that was a feat, given the size of the animal! Served everyone with exactly what they wanted and were polite and efficient. The salads were delicious and our guests were most impressed that they were prepared freshly on site.

From the moment we approached you, we’ve found the whole experience really fantastic. The booking, the menu choices and general administration has been fantastic and the food on the day was beautiful.
Rob and his wife on the day and prior to the event were great. Very approachable, friendly, got on with everything without a fuss and what they produced was beautiful. Although it was an informal wedding meal it was really good quality and beautifully presented.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to others. Our guests were very complimentary about the food too.

What a brilliant service! I booked Spitting Pig for our sponsors event at our Golf Club. The whole process was so easy. Very friendly and helpful staff both by email and on the day. Food was excellent and had many compliments from our guests. It is perfect for a large event because there is no washing or cleaning up required. Everything is provided including disposable crockery/cutlery. Will definitely be using them again and would highly recommend to anyone.

(and I have now learnt that 2 coke bottles is not enough soft drink for over 100 people…) You all teamed together so well and the drinks and canapés flowed beautifully. Jan – What a lovely surprise that you had been here before and know the Blanch family. Apologies for not remembering you from when I was three! Once our brains and feet warmed up, you were absolutely brilliant at sorting out the whole catering package. The food was unbelievably good – and I have had so many positive reports saying that it was excellent catering in every course.
You will be pleased to know that from bedtime at 4am on Friday to Lunch time on Monday, my family and I ate roughly 7 portions each of your Thai salad and Chicken Caesar, all the pork.. and the pudding was enjoyed by all in the office on Monday – so none was wasted!
*We loved the salads so much, that we wondered whether it might be possible to steal a recipe – if they aren’t copyrighted?!
There is no doubt that, should we have an occasion to celebrate with a pig again, we will most certainly be in touch with you all at Spitting Pig (I will just have to think up an excuse!). Lovely to meet you all, and I hope you have some time off over the Christmas period to enjoy your own feasts!
