There’s no better way to celebrate the end of summer than with great food and the company to match. The Hog Roast Sherborne team arrived at Sherborne Valley House on 11th September 2025 to get the feast underway.
The host asked us to whip up a feast for their company’s late works summer party with a group of 50 colleagues. Catering managers Rob, Harry, and James and their team arrived early to fire up the hog roast machine and get preparations in place. By 1pm, the food was ready for guests to help themselves to. You could see the excitement on their faces when they spotted the spread.
Hog Roast Sherbourne worked alongside the host months before the event date to finalise a menu that met their exact needs. Guests piled their plates high with handmade British beef burgers, topped with melted cheese and fried onions, and tucked into chef’s own gourmet sausages. The Thai chicken kebabs also went down a treat, and the BBQ spareribs had guests going back for seconds, and even thirds. Plus, we always ensure there’s options for those with dietary requirements too, so it was requested that we also serve gluten-free and wholemeal breads. As for vegans and vegetarians? Our grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers were sizzing and fresh, and guests were coming backwards and forwards all night to tuck in.
Alongside the BBQ came a spread of hot and cold delicious sides. Think bowls of crisp green leaf salad, Greek salad, and gourmet homemade coleslaw. Not forgetting, the chef’s speciality pasta salad. There were two fries options (crispy and sweet potato) which guests could pick at through the evening. The meal was served on eco-friendly bamboo plates to achieve a more sustainable service.
We were absolutely delighted that guests left full and satisfied. We received so many positive comments, which is always a real boost for a small business. Thanks so much to the catering team for pulling off a successful event. If you’d like to find out more about our menus at Hog Roast Sherbourne, we’re here to chat.
