Bonfire night is a well-loved tradition in the UK, celebrated every year on 5th November. This event marks the deterring of the Gunpowder Plot in 1605, when a group of Catholic conspirators, led by Guy Fawkes, attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament and assassinate King James I. Over centuries, this date is commemorated by lively community celebrations across the country complete with bonfires and fireworks, where families and friends get together to enjoy some festive fun. If you’re planning a community bonfire event this year or hosting a small-scale fireworks party at home, Hog Roast Bath is here to help you make it unforgettable with our delicious hog roast catering.
As the bonfire crackles and the fireworks are about to light up the sky, Hog Roast Bath can be there to serve up delicious hog roast rolls, perfect for staying warm and cosy in the crisp evening air. Can you think of anything more satisfying? Neither can we! We’ll set up our equipment outdoors and start slow cooking the huge pig on the spit over an open flame. We love seeing the faces of both kids – and the adults – as they witness the process taking place. Once the hog is fully cooked, we’ll carve it into thin slices and serve on a fresh hog roll alongside a drizzling of our homemade apple sauce for that fruity tang. Plus, we can also offer tasty sides including sweet potato fries, mac and cheese and roasted vegetables.
If you haven’t got a great deal to spend on catering, you’ll be pleased to know that hog roasting is one of the more cost-effective options, as you won’t be paying a price per head. Instead, you’ll only be paying for the ingredients and the hire of our machine and staff, so the more you want to invite to your bonfire party – the better!
With Bonfire night now only a few weeks away, we advise that you get in touch with Hog Roast Bath as soon as possible to secure your booking and plan your menu options.
