Weddings deserve food that feels every bit as special as the occasion itself, and that’s exactly what our team delivered this weekend with a stunning hog roast Cullompton for 75 guests. Rob, Harry, and James were on hand to provide our luxurious Alfresco Menu, and it was a true showstopper from start to finish.
As guests arrived at the venue, our waiting staff welcomed them with rustic antipasti platters served directly to the tables. These boards were overflowing with Italian favourites – prosciutto, Parma ham, and salami paired with creamy buffalo mozzarella, Parmigiano, and gorgonzola. Artisan breads including herb focaccia, ciabatta, and crunchy breadsticks completed the spread, with bowls of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. It set the perfect tone for a day filled with flavour.
The main event was carved by our chef at the buffet, with a magnificent whole English lamb seasoned with garlic and rosemary, served with a rich mint sauce. Guests could also choose from our vegetarian and vegan alternatives: grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (with a fully vegan version available), or our smoky pulled jackfruit buns topped with a crunchy slaw. A generous selection of freshly baked rolls and wraps ensured everyone could enjoy their dish just the way they liked it.
Side dishes included heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, fresh seasonal leaves, and homemade gourmet coleslaw. Guests could also enjoy a choice of
potato options, from buttery new potatoes to perfectly roasted new potatoes – hearty and comforting accompaniments for a late September wedding.
To finish, the dessert table was as elegant as it was indulgent. Guests chose from profiteroles, chocolate torte, tarte au citron, cheesecake, and summer pudding, each served with fresh cream. The combination of sweet options ensured there was something to satisfy every palate.
