Hog Roast Mountain Ash’s Festive Menu Is The Christmastime Treat Co-workers Love!

Hog Roast Mountain AshLet’s face it, by the time December hits, most offices are scraping by on several cups of caffeine and the promise of a proper break. Maybe it’s because it somehow always feels like it’s the middle of the night (thanks axial tilt!) which makes each work day drag in or perhaps it’s just what’s due after such a full-on year. Whatever it is, even the most cheerful colleague is counting down the days…

And that, my friends, is why the office Christmas party matters. We like to think of it as the pause button. A chance to say “you smashed it this year” and give your team enough energy to power through the final stretch of the season.

Over at Flexicare Medical Ltd, slowing down doesn’t always come easily. As a global name in medical devices, their team is usually flat-out juggling deadlines, designs and details that really matter. So when the 12th of December rolled in, the team were more than ready to swap spreadsheets for plates and enjoy a well-earned lunch.

And who better to serve this all-important feast than Hog Roast Mountain Ash?

Our top caterers, Rob and James, were tasked with feeding 100 guests, and the brief was simple enough: festive, generous and satisfying. Of course, simple doesn’t mean easy when you’re juggling two main meats and a tight serving window. But this duo knows the rhythm of a Christmas service inside out. By midday everything was lined up, steaming and ready to go.

Hog Roast Mountain AshFront and centre was our classic hog roast complete with crunchy pork scratchings, sage and onion stuffing and that sweet homemade applesauce everyone loves. Alongside it, whole roasted turkeys were carved and served with cranberry sauce, ticking all the traditional boxes without being dry or dull.

Then came the sides. Proper ones. Creamy cauliflower cheese, glazed seasonal veg, golden roast potatoes, pigs in blankets and rich gravy that made everything taste even better. Baskets of soft rolls, wraps and Yorkshire puddings gave guests free rein to build plates their own way. And for anyone skipping meat altogether, Hog Roast Mountain Ash had grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs to ensure nobody felt like an afterthought.

Just when belts were being discreetly loosened, dessert appeared. Homemade mince pies with warm brandy cream – the kind of finish that turns a lunch break into a proper celebration!

Hog Roast Mountain Ash loved being part of this well-earned treat for the Flexicare Medical team. With full plates and happy faces, the room felt lighter by the end. Exactly how a work Christmas lunch should be.
