At Hog Roast Newport we are at our best during the wedding season. With the speed of the summer season with weddings every single weekend (and sometimes multiple in one week) we are always fresh and raring to go right the way through the summer months. There’s not even a second for rust to build up in our team because every second is spent serving or planning a wedding event.
And this past weekend was no different. The Hog Roast Newport team, fresh from a couple other weddings through the week, some corporate events with our clients, and even a wedding anniversary event (see, everything is wedding focused during the summer season!) geared up again to head to Whitehead’s Sports and Social Club in Bassaleg, Newport.
Some weddings can be vast with a tonne of staff needed for a silver service dinner, but this one was a little more understated yet no less stylish and brilliant for the Hog Roast Newport team. Our signature hog roast is always a proven winner for any event, so to set it up as a buffet for this wedding in Newport ensured that both we and the guests were going to have a tonne of fun together. Sometimes all you need for your special day is a simple yet delicious menu. Our hog roast, cooked in the traditional spit style with golden crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and served with cooling apple sauce, is as simple yet delicious as it goes in our menus. Chefs Rob, Harry, and James had our kitchen stall set 
up in a wonderful stonework room with views to the outside sports grounds. Having our buffet set up here allowed guests to easily come and go as they please to take their pick of our hog roast and grilled veggie skewer offerings along with fresh tomato and mozzarella salad, coleslaw, regular and sweet potato fries, and helpings of gluten free rolls and wraps for easy eating.
The Hog Roast Newport team had a wonderful team with the bride, groom, and 80+ guests. Our congratulations go out to the stunning newlyweds once again!
