One of the best things about spring – besides finally seeing a bit of sunshine again – is the generous number of bank holidays dotted across the calendar. After the long stretch of winter it feels like a well-earned reward. Over the next couple of months there are four long weekends ready and waiting:
3 April
6 April
4 May
25 May
For most of us, those dates mean one very important thing: time away from work. No alarms blaring at 6am, no rushing through the door with a travel mug in hand – instead you get a bit of breathing space to slow down, relax and actually enjoy yourself for a change.
And let’s be honest – relaxing is always better when it involves other people.
Whether you’re thinking about inviting the family over for lunch, organising a catch-up with friends you haven’t seen in ages or even pulling together a spontaneous garden gathering, bank holidays are perfect for it since most people are off work and the whole day tends to feel a little more laid-back.
Of course, once you start planning a get-together, there’s always one big question: what’s everyone going to eat?
Leave the food to Hog Roast Swansea…
While plenty of businesses close their doors on a bank holiday we’re still very much in action. In fact, long weekends are some of our favourite times to cook because they’re when people are celebrating, reconnecting and making the most of their time off.
If you decide to host something, Hog Roast Swansea will swoop in like Superman (but much cooler, obvs) and save you from the stress of catering for a crowd. Think of us as the backup you didn’t realise you needed – we arrive, get everything cooking and keep the food flowing while you enjoy the party.
And although the name might suggest otherwise, we’re not limited to one style of food. Yes, our hog roast is a favourite for good reason, but there’s plenty more on offer too.
So if one of those bank holidays is starting to look like the perfect day for a celebration, it’s worth locking in the food sooner rather than later. Get in touch with Hog Roast Swansea and let’s make it a gathering to remember.
