The Hog Roast Badminton team were recently hired by a local business client to cater for a corporate event they were hosting to attract new apprentices. The evening included a selection of canapes which were served as the apprentices and their families arrived to help break the ice so they could mingle with the company’s staff. Once everyone had arrived and found their seats, a selection of talks and presentations from company’s staff were delivered and this was followed by a formal indoor buffet. The team arrived several hours in advance so that they could prepare and cook the food onsite so that everything tasted fantastically fresh.
This selection came from Menu Four from the selection of corporate hospitality menus offered by the Hog Roast Badminton team. The canapes selected by the event organiser included tiger prawn skewers served with lemon mayonnaise, smoked salmon on fresh brown bread with fresh lemon wedges, Peking duck wraps featuring a mustard glaze and ginger flavoured Chinese pancakes, Thai chicken kebabs including red and green peppers with a sweet chilli dip, and wild mushroom bouchees with a creamy mushroom filling seasoned with garlic and thyme.
For the buffet, the corporate client selected slow roasted sirloin of beef served with horseradish sauce, yorkshire puddings and homemade red wine gravy. These dishes were served with crusty bread rolls on the side as well as a selection of sauces. The client also selected seasonal vegetables to accompany their main meat which included warm new potatoes in herb butter, jacket wedges and new potato salad. In addition, the Hog Roast Badminton team served two delicious puddings, alongside their main meal, which included a sticky toffee pudding served with toffee sauce and individual handmade cheesecakes with a creamy cheese filling. Following the buffet, the Hog Roast Badminton team’s staff also served fresh cream tea, coffee and mints. The guests and staff alike both really enjoyed the buffet while the staff were also really pleased with how professional the buffet looked. In addition, the canapes definitely helped to break the ice and helped the new apprentices to feel relaxed.
