Terrible weather in Forthampton

Although the weather has been terrible during the week, we’ve been really lucky on the weekends! Last weekend we had two weddings and a Birthday Party along with a charity event for 65 Roses (a cystic fibrosis charity). The two weddings both had spit roasted Forthampton pigs for their main courses. One had a variety of canapés served to guests on arrival while the other went for the traditional three courses. They had country pate to start and our famous sticky toffee pudding for dessert. We had a lot of compliments on the hog roast Forthampton, especially the crackling!
The Birthday Party took place at one of our venues, Over Farm Barn. They had spit roasted lamb served with ciabatta and mint sauce. It was spectacular and a little different to the traditional hog roast. This particular party went on way into the night so all the remaining meat was left for them to nibble on after a few drinks.
The 65 Roses event was a huge success. The charity raised over £3,000 for Cystic Fibrosis which we are all really proud of. Their menu was simple but effective. We served soup for the starter followed by a traditional hog roast hire Forthampton for the main course. Dessert was our chocolate torte pot which went down a treat. We did this specific menu at a particularly good price so as to lend our support to the charity.
This week we are all preparing for the weekend ahead. We have a large event on Friday for a local radio station, even the mayor will be attending! On Saturday we have a birthday party and a wedding. We’ll probably hire out a few machines too so better start arranging for them to get cleaned down. If you would like more information on our menus or the different types of parties we can cater for, please do not hesitate to contact us.
