Dear Beth, Jan and all the team,
I wanted to write and thank you, on behalf of all of us at Alvan Blanch, for making our 60th Anniversary party so very special. You cannot make a party without good food and good service – and you certainly did not disappoint!
William – Thank you for bearing with me in booking phase. You were very patient and by far the most friendly hog-roast-salesman I spoke to!
Beth – You and your team did a fantastic job on the night – and going the extra mile (literally) to get coke was just customer-service-class! (and I have now learnt that 2 coke bottles is not enough soft drink for over 100 people…) You all teamed together so well and the drinks and canapés flowed beautifully. You running the show meant I could let my hair down and really enjoy myself. Thank you.
Jan – What a lovely surprise that you had been here before and know the Blanch family. Apologies for not remembering you from when I was three! Once our brains and feet warmed up, you were absolutely brilliant at sorting out the whole catering package. The food was unbelievably good – and I have had so many positive reports saying that it was excellent catering in every course.
You will be pleased to know that from bedtime at 4am on Friday to Lunch time on Monday, my family and I ate roughly 7 portions each of your Thai salad and Chicken Caesar, all the pork.. and the pudding was enjoyed by all in the office on Monday – so none was wasted!
*We loved the salads so much, that we wondered whether it might be possible to steal a recipe – if they aren’t copyrighted?!
There is no doubt that, should we have an occasion to celebrate with a pig again, we will most certainly be in touch with you all at Spitting Pig (I will just have to think up an excuse!). Lovely to meet you all, and I hope you have some time off over the Christmas period to enjoy your own feasts!
