Alissa and her fiancé met while on a skiing holiday in France and then discovered that they are both from neighbouring villages back home! After the trip, the pair began their relationship, which was heavily built around a love for sports and the great outdoors. As avid skiers, they are both big fans of the cold weather, so it made sense for them to host a winter wedding. The wedding was set to take place in a converted barn, which had been beautifully renovated and, most importantly, excellently insulated to protect from the icy January weather. The barn provided a beautiful backdrop for photos and was sure to look amazing on the day, especially if snow decided to make an appearance! For the catering, our team was hired to provide a classic hog roast for the guests to enjoy, followed by a warm dessert course.
In preparation for this event, we planned to provide a delicious hog for the guests to enjoy, served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. The hog will be cooked on-site on the day of the wedding, to ensure optimum flavour and freshness. Following this, guests will then be able to enjoy a delicious dessert course of warm sticky toffee pudding, served with English cream, to keep them warm throughout the evening.
